We can’t be jumping into every opportunity that presents itself. We can’t be chasing after everything that seems ok. We are to have enough peace to stay put and wait on God. Enough peace to be content in every circumstance. Enough peace to trust in God.
If we want to grow in our peace, we need to tuck in even closer with God. The further away we move from Him, the less peace we will have.
My soul was on the warpath but Holy Spirit came and said, "No, that’s not how we handle things".
Jesus fixed His eyes not on what was temporary- pain, suffering, agony, shame, rejection, abandonment and separation from His Father but on the joy of having you and I as His.
God’s peace is always for the present moment and not futuristic.
So I had to break up with Flat and Bleh and call off the pity party.
His thoughts are very different to our own.
