Pray anyway.

Have you ever heard people who say things like, “But I don’t know how to pray” or “I don’t know what to say”? I am realizing more and more that God does not answer our prayers because we are so good at praying. He answers our prayers because He wants to be good to us. I think of Him as such a good Father that even if my prayer is somewhere in the ballpark of where it needs to be, God will answer it anyway. That is not to say we must not pray specific prayers. No. I am saying, we do not always know what to pray. In those situations, I turn to the Holy Spirit and I pray in tongues.

However, there may be someone who is not able to pray in tongues and for that person, what do we do when we are at a loss for words? Pray anyway. Say something to God. Be confident in that even when you are not sure what you are praying for, Jesus is seated at the right hand of God praying for you and perfecting your prayers before the Father.

Sometimes, certain situations drain the life out of us but pray anyway. God hears your every word. Sometimes my prayer is 4 words long, “God help me, please”. Other times one word, “Jesus”. There are times when you do not know what to do or say so I just call on the Name of Jesus. Don’t allow the devil to put you in a place where you stop praying altogether. Call on the Name of the Lord and you will be saved, (see Romans 10:13).
