Amos 3:3 NLT says, “Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?”
I once heard someone say that the direction your feet are going, is the direction of your faith.
Our verse today tells us that two people cannot walk together unless they agree on a direction. We need to agree with God regarding the direction in which He wants to take our lives. After all, He is the One who knows the plans He has for us, see Jeremiah 29:11.
We can’t walk with God unless we choose to have faith in His plan and choose to walk in the same direction as Him.
2 Timothy 2:13 says, “If we have no faith, He will still be faithful for He cannot go against what He is”. That means, even when we lose faith in God or His plan for our lives, God remains faithful. Meaning, when we get lost or feel distant from God, it is a sign that we didn’t agree on the direction God was going in so we stopped walking together. One of us is off course and it ain’t Jesus.
God remains faithful so we will always find Him where we left Him. He does not force His plans on us but He waits for our yes so we can walk together and so He can help us navigate the obstacles along the way. Let us stop fighting God for control over our lives. We have no idea where we are going. However, He knows where He is taking you. He mapped out the journey just for you. Come into agreement with His plan and choose to walk with God.
Love and Blessings,
Mel.
