1 John 3:1 says, “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” 

How amazing is it that we are called children on God. The Creator of the universe in all His splendor and glory was thinking out loud on the 6th day of creation and said, “Let us make man in our image” (see Genesis 1:26). God created us to be just like Him and so that together with Him, we can have this divine relationship whereby we are His children and He is our loving Father. God created us with an innate need to be loved and to love. 

That is God’s heart for all who will call on Him. He wants us to know we are loved by Him and to love Him in return (see 1 John 4:19). Every relationship has a bit of give and take. God gives far more than He ever takes. Let us receive His love with open hearts and pour out to Him in worship each and every single day of our lives.
