God is pleased with you.

Matthew 3:17 says, “And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased””.

The life of Jesus on Earth was a demonstration of the relationship that the Father seeks to have with us, His children.

I think sometimes in life we think we have to be perfect for God to be pleased with us. Quite the contrary is true. God does not expect us to be perfect that is why He sent Jesus who is our perfection. When God looks at us, He sees us robed in Jesus’ righteousness. He sees us in robes of white. Even when we do the smallest act of obedience to His word, God is pleased with us.

Imagine, if you will, God speaking the words of our verse today to you. Imagine Him looking at your life and being proud of the person you are becoming. You may not be where you want to be, but you are not where you used to be and that makes God happy. God rejoices at your progress and He loves you unconditionally.
