God’s heart.

I love talking about God’s love for us because life (the kind that Jesus died to give) only begins when we know that we are loved. 

Do you know that you are loved? It’s one thing to think you are loved and it’s another to know that you are loved. When you think you are loved, you are still fearful because you are not sure if you will still be loved tomorrow. You don’t know how long the love will last and you don’t know if you are going to wake up to find out that you are in fact not loved at all.

However, when you know you are loved, you can rest assured knowing that God’s heart towards you will not be changed by time or circumstance. God’s love for you does not change with the seasons. His love is steadfast and unchanging. Do you know why? Because God is love (see 1 John 4:8) and He does not change. He is the same yesterday today and forever (see Hebrews 13:8).

Which means His love for you is the same yesterday (when He died for you on the cross), today (as you do you in this life) and forever (when you enter into eternity with Him knowing you were flawed but He loved you nonetheless). God loves you.

You are not insignificant. You don’t disappear into the crowd- God sees you. He knows you by name and He loves you. God’s heart towards you is set on love, always.
