A season to grow.

I have noticed that as Christians we are always growing in one area or another. Therefore, I think one of the most essential qualities of a follower of Christ is to remain teachable. No one person has the full and complete revelation of who God is. The moment we start to begin to think that we know God and no one else can teach us anything about Him, we limit our lives and we limit God. We must always seek godly counsel and seek understanding by searching the truth of the Word (Proverbs 11:14 and Proverbs 15:22).

God promises that those who seek Him shall find Him (Jeremiah 29:13). Which means that the opposite is also true, if you do not seek Him, you will not find Him. We must remain humble for God to be able to teach us more about Himself through the godly people around us. We must also allow God to correct us where we believe wrong or have wrong understanding. The Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth if we are open to it (John 16:13). Also, make sure you are planted in a good, fruit bearing church (Matthew 7:16).
