Searching for truth.

Sometimes we get caught up in the noise of varying opinions on sensitive subject matters. When we are uncertain as to what is true, we must always turn to the word of God. God’s word is our campus that points us in the direction we should go.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work”.

The world is drifting further and further from the truth, one compromise after another. We must let out decisions and our actions remain founded on the word of God for it is true and it helps us realise all that is wrong in our lives. We are in the world but we are not of the world. Accordingly, we do not measure ourselves using worldly standards but we base our lives on the word of God as it is in the Bible and we live according to the will of God as revealed to us through Scripture.

I encourage you this week to search the word of God for all truth that you seek. Ask God to speak to you through the pages of your Bible. God is faithful, when you seek Him you will find Him when you seek Him with all your heart, (see Jeremiah 29:13).
