IOU Day 4

Have you ever stopped and thanked God for creating you?

Today I want us to take a moment, not a whole day- lest we grow a big head, just a moment to praise God for creating us. For every time we helped someone or made someone smile, that’s one less smile that person would have had had God not created you. You are special. You are important. You are valued by God.

So it does not matter whether you like the way He made you, be thankful and know that you are perfect for the purpose He had in mind. Thank God for making you the way you are.

I remember once I was asking God why He made me so chatty. I wished I was a bit quieter. But I later realised that there are advantages to being chatty. I would have absolutely nothing to say and these blog posts would be 2 sentences long if I wasn’t chatty. I think some of you said, “Amen” to that, take it back!! LOL.

Thank God for making you the way you are. It serves a purpose and if you do not know what that purpose is, why not ask Him? He will be happy to show you 🙂

Today, thank God for you. I thank God for you. If it wasn’t for you I would look like a crazy woman talking to herself on the internet and nobody wants that! So thank God for you 🙂 God is good!

I will just leave you with the lyrics to the first verse and chorus to “The Butterfly song” by Brian Howard that I used to sing as a child at school.

“If I were a butterfly, I’d thank you Lord for giving me wings
If I were a robin in a tree, I’d thank you Lord that I could sing
If I were a fish in the sea, I’d wiggle my tail and I’d giggle with glee
But I just thank you Father for making me, me.

For you gave me a heart and you gave me a smile
You gave me Jesus and you made me your child
And I just thank you Father for making me, me”.

Have a blessed day!

p.s. Don’t forget to update your Thanks list 🙂
