IOU Day 5

It is #Sunday_Funday today! Let us thank God for the family that He has blessed us with in the Church. 

Sometimes we take it for granted having people that we fellowship with, but it is very important for our growth as Christians. Sometimes I get the most encouragement whilst having a conversation with someone, eating some world famous scones that are found only at Maxi. Believe it or not, we are all meant to encourage each other and help each other along in our journeys. 

I do not have any family in Sydney but the people at my church have become my family. I am sure if you look around in your church where you are planted you will realise you have family there too. God plants us in the church that is best for our spiritual growth but it is up to us to make connections and build relationships with the people there. If we want to make friends, the Bible says we ought to be friendly, Proverbs 18:24. 

Let us thank God today for the wonderful Church He is building with us and for our family of believers. Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend“. We need each other so let us be thankful for each other. Walk up to someone at church today and tell them that you appreciate them and thank God for them 🙂
