Psalm 51:15 says, “Unseal my lips, O Lord that my mouth may praise you“. That verse had me wondering, what causes our mouths to be sealed and for us to stop praising God?
What seals our mouths from praising God? I have noticed that when we sin we know God hasn’t changed and we know its not a new precept that just came up last week that we broke. We are aware that we have sinned and we knew the thing was a sin beforehand so shame seals our lips. Guilt stops us from declaring God’s goodness lest we be called hypocrites.
Today I am here to tell you that we should always turn to our Father and ask for forgiveness. Then we should shift our focus from our sin and look at God and we should praise Him. He deserves the praise whether we have been good or bad God is still God and He is still good.
Today I want us to just radically praise God for any of the times sin or a guilty conscience robbed us of the opportunity to praise God. Let’s praise God for who He is for His faithfulness, kindness and goodness are never ending.
Let’s be thankful for our wonderful Saviour Jesus 🙂 Have a blessed day.
p.s. How is your Thanks list going? If you have no clue what I am talking about, read yesterdays post 🙂
