Breakthrough Lyrics.

Proverbs 8:6 says, “The meaning of my words will release within you revelation for you to reign in life. My lyrics will empower you to live by what is right”.

Last week we looked at the first part of our verse, this week we will be focusing on the second sentence. Isn’t it amazing that God says, “My lyrics will empower you to live by what is right”? When I hear the word “lyrics” I think poetry and I think song.

Is it possible that the God who created the universe has a song just for you to empower you to live right? Absolutely. Zephaniah 3:17 says, “For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs”.

God sings joyful songs over us. Songs of victory and not defeat. Songs of courage and not fear. Songs of His endless love and not rejection. Songs of hope and not doom and despair. This is one way to know what song God is singing over you: Before you sleep make sure your heart is right with God. When you wake up, pay attention to the praise or worship song you have in your heart first thing in the morning. It is usually a song God has planted in your heart and you will be surprised at how relevant it will be in your day. Even as the day unfolds, listen to the song that is bubbling up in your spirit and pay attention to the words because God is speaking.

When we sing out these songs that we hear in our heart, it sets the stage for breakthrough and the victory which we have in Christ Jesus will soon manifest.

God has many ways which He speaks to us. This is but one way. Spend time with Him to find out how He speaks to you because God is very personal in His interactions with us. What works for me, may be different to what works for you.

Have a blessed week ahead!
