Show Me where it hurts.

How is your heart? That’s quite a confronting question isn’t it? But I have realised that it is important for us as Christians to do heart checks every now so often. Not for any other reason but to be self-aware and bring our stuff to God to help us deal with it.

I don’t know what you are going through today or what’s on your mind but I thought I’d take the time to encourage you that God sees you and He already knows. He is just waiting for you to run to Him and talk to Him. Tell Him what’s on your heart. Tell Him what’s bothering you. Tell Him what’s on your mind. He already has a rescue plan just for you.

I was riding on the train today and I was reminded how there is nothing more powerful than the Name of Jesus. Sometimes, the most effective prayer you can ever pray is that one Name, Jesus. When you have no words, just speak His Name. His Name is powerful. His Name is a strong tower, the righteous run in and are safe (Proverbs 18:10). His Name is a great hiding place. It also is a great weapon. In Luke 10:19 Jesus tells us, “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.”

We are always safe with Him. Jesus is our safe place. Jesus is our peace. Jesus is our victory. In Him we lack nothing. Whatever, you are facing today, you will be alright. This too shall pass.

1 John 4:4 says, “Little children, you can be certain that you belong to God and have conquered them, for the One who is living in you is far greater than the one who is in the world.” Whoever this is for, I want you to know that you will be alright.

I am reminded of the story of the woman with the issue of blood. She crawled her way through the crowd until she reached and touched Jesus. Her faith stopped Jesus in His tracks and He had to ask, “Who touched Me?” If this is for you today, I want you to know that your faith stopped God in His tracks this morning just like the woman with the issue of blood. I could have written about anything else, but God had this word for you.

In Luke 8:48 it tells us how Jesus responded to the woman with the issue of blood. It says, “Jesus responded, “Beloved daughter, your faith in me has released your healing. You may go with my peace.”” There is healing for you this morning, healing is not always physical it can be something deep within that God wants to touch and make whole. You are loved and treasured by God.

I’ll leave you with these song lyrics by Sinach, “…You are here, healing every heart, I worship You, I worship You. You are here, turning lives around, I worship You, I worship You. You are here, mending every heart, I worship You, I worship You. You are, Way maker, Miracle worker, Promise keeper, Light in the darkness, my God, that is Who You are.”

God is an awesome Healer. Let Him into those places. I hear Him say to you this morning, “Show Me where it hurts.”

Love and blessings,

Melissa Tsingano
