I think the best place to end this series on the love of God is in Romans 8:35 which says, “Who could ever separate us from the endless love of God’s Anointed One? Absolutely no one! For nothing in the universe has the power to diminish his love toward us. Troubles, pressures, and problems are unable to come between us and heaven’s love. What about persecutions, deprivations, dangers, and death threats? No, for they are all impotent to hinder omnipotent love”.
That last sentence though- #gold. All the things we can think of that can try to come between us and God’s love, are all impotent (weak, powerless, incapable) to hinder (stop, obstruct, get in the way of) omnipotent (all powerful, invincible, unstoppable) love. That is mind blowing right there. There is nothing that exists that is capable of getting in the way of God’s love for you.
I find that comforting. Such grace has He extended to us because essentially He is saying, “There is no amount of messing up that can stop Me from loving you.” He is saying, “No matter how far you run, I am willing to chase after you.” Anything that stands in between you and His all-powerful love, He is willing to pick up and put to the side so He can get to you.
There is no trouble, no pressure, no problem, no height, no depth that will make Him stop loving you. God does not care what people think about you or say about you, He just loves you anyway. Don’t let other people’s opinions and words stop you from experiencing this amazing love that God has for you. There is plenty of room for you in God’s heart and He says you are worthy of love.
See, the Bible was written in time, but I imagine that God was sitting in eternity long before He created you just smiling at the thought of you and His deep love for you. God didn’t just start loving you when you were born. He loved you long before your great, great, great grandmother was born. He loved you long before He created you. That’s why His love knows no beginning or end. You are loved beyond measure. Loved beyond human understanding. Loved beyond what is capable of expression with words. You are loved.
Ask God to help you experience this deep, wide, everlasting love that He has for you. He has been waiting to hear from you.
Love and blessings,
Melissa Tsingano
