2019 Vision.

Happy New Year!
 
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a marvellous New Years celebration. What a blessing that we made it through 2018 and we have made our way into 2019. To God be the glory!

I am not going to do my usual sort of post today. However, Proverbs 29:18 tells us that where there is no vision the people perish. So, we are to ask God to help us cast the vision for the year ahead so we will not perish but instead have the abundant life Christ came to give. 

Our word for HW for 2019 is found in John 21:6 which says, “Jesus shouted to them, “Throw your net over the starboard side, and you’ll catch some!” And so they did as he said, and they caught so many fish they couldn’t even pull in the net!” The disciples had been fishing all night and had caught nothing. However, Jesus gave them a very simple word- a simple instruction on how to catch the fish that had evaded them all night. They could have objected or reasoned their way out of doing it, after all they had been fishing all night but they obeyed Him anyway. The disciples were obedient to the word of God. In one word, our word for 2019 is obedience. I believe there are certain things in our lives that can only be released through our prompt obedience to God’s word. There are so many blessings waiting for us on the other side of our obedience. 

I am looking forward to what God is going to do through HW in 2019 and the things He is going to impart to us along the way. #excited #thankful #expectant.
