I believe in you.

It is so easy for us to look at God in all His splendor and magnitude and say to Him, “I believe in You!” Today God looks at us and He whispers in our ear, “I believe in you”.

What does it mean when God says He believes in us? I will take you back to yesterday’s message where God said, “I trust you”. God trusts us to complete the salvation plan for the earth with Him. Not only does He trust us, He believes in us. The gospel is to be preached to all the nations of the earth. God, over 2000 years ago, when He gave us the great commission believed that we could do it and He still believes we can do it because as far as I am aware, the plan has not changed. God believes in us. He believes that once we have received His light we will not go and hide the light in us but instead we will stand on the figurative hills of life for all the world to see and be drawn to Him. He believes in us as carriers of His Presence that once we receive Him, when we walk into our work places or homes, we will let His Presence flow through us and touch those around us.

When God opens doors for you, that is His way of saying, “Step in, I believe in you”. I remember when I first went for an interview for a great job in the city of Sydney, I did not think I would get it. It seemed to me that that job was a little out of my reach and a whole lot outside of my comfort zone but God opened the door for me. I was terrified to walk through that door and take the job but I reminded myself of one thing. I may not be sure of myself, I didn’t think I’d be good at the job, but God knows me way more than I know myself and He loves me too much to open a door to something I cannot handle. So, I listened to the voice of God telling me that I could do it and that He believed in me and would be with me all the way. 1 year later, I could not imagine myself working anywhere else.

Is there an opportunity in your life where perhaps God is trying to tell you to go for it? Sometimes we are not sure of ourselves because most of us greatly underestimate ourselves but God knows exactly what you are capable of and often times you never know unless you try. God trusts you. Will you be bold enough to trust Him when He says, “I believe in you, you can do it!”? I sure hope so. Say yes to adventures with Jesus! It is in times when we are unsure or uncertain that we lean on Him the most and learn the most about Him. It is also a great exercise of our faith in Him. He believes in you! Hear the sound of God cheering you on!

I will leave you with this verse: Philippians 4:13, “ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.

Have a blessed day.
